Our New Callings

So.....as many of you know I have a new calling. I am the Young Womens President. I got called into the bishops office a couple of weeks ago and was asked to serve as the young womens president. I was pretty much in shock for about a week. The hard thing was I was told not to talk about it with anyone until it was announced (which would be a week and a half later). It killed me to keep this inside. I am so relieved that it is now official and I am able to talk about it. I am so excited to be able to work with the young women. I truly feel like this is the best place to be and I know I will learn a lot.

Skip's new calling. So.....on the morning that I know they are sustaining me as young womens president, We get a call asking if Skip and I can meet with the stake high council. So we drop our kids off at our friends (Thanks Matt and Michelle) and we head over to the church. I am thinking they are going to talk to us about my calling. I was wrong. The stake called Skip to be the financial clerk for our ward. So I don't quite know what this in tells, yet, but I think it is pretty much the budgeting for the ward.

Skip and I were both released from nursery and sustained in our new callings this last Sunday. Big Jobs.....I think we are both going to be very busy.

Our Saturday

Today, We decided to try and get a lot of things done. First was to clean the garage. The cars had brought so much dirt/mud from winter into the garage. The kids had a lot of fun helping dad. I think they were all about playing in the water.

Next, on the list was planting some flowers in the yard (I hope they don't die because today was kind of cold and who knows what is in the forecast). Casen was a huge help picking the flowers at the store. Both boys helped plant the flowers, or at least they would drive their trucks through the area I was trying to plant the flowers.
Today was both fun and productive!!!!!!

Cake Decorating

This is Casen, and one of his dearest friends, Lily. They were playing and decided it would be fun to decorate cakes. These are their masterpieces. I think more frosting got eaten then made it on to the cakes.

Camera Problems

Ok......so I knew my brand new camera was taking blurry pictures and I could not figure it out. I thought maybe I did not know what I was doing, maybe I was on the wrong settings. I looked at the manual, didn't help much. SOOOOO FRUSTRATING!!

I decided I would take the camera back to Best Buy! I told them I did not spend this much money to have a camera that takes blurry pictures and I hate. They were pretty good about it and exchanged it for a new one. All the employees where saying this camera takes really good pictures.

ITS TRUE!! When you actually have a camera that is working properly it does take good pictures. My only regret is I should have exchanged it right after I got it. Now all of my pictures for the last couple of months (including Florida, Casens Birthday, etc. are blurry). Oh Well, you live and you learn.

Happy 5th Birthday Casen

I can not believe Casen is 5 years old. It seems like he was just born. He has grown up so fast. Casen is one of the loves of our life. He is such a sweet compassionate little boy. The above is a picture of Casen before his party started (do you like the big cheese).

This is Casen's cake this year. He is a major Transformer fanatic so he was very excited about this cake.

This is the pinata we got for the party. It was stuffed full of candy, Oreos, whistles, pencils, parachute men, etc.
